yeah that's the other part that sucks—like, if this game had released maybe 2-3 years ago it would be almost revolutionary, but now there are so many extraction shooters (many of which are pretty good from what I understand), it's like a drop in the bucket =(

or even some other kind of multiplayer shooter. I just don't like (1) being forced into a crew of randos, and (2) losing all my shit when I die

it has SUCH amazing style and the art direction is absolutely out of this world. the gunplay is solid and the runner abilities are great. everything about this game is well polished and extremely well done. it just makes me sad to know I'll probably never really get into it because of what it is 😞😩

I want to like Marathon SO bad but I just....I don't like multiplayer extraction shooters =( I just don't. I really want to but...ugh. I just wish it was anything else.
