Hey, I'm somebody on Substack! I'm so busy creating things for the Pattern Tailor that I barely have time to write right now, but feeling good about my efforts.
And just like that I cast on a new swatch to solve a problem I’ve been avoiding. Said problem has now become a new and exciting experiment that just happens to go with today’s Deibenkorn pages! I have completed about 5 projects this week — okay some was just working in ends, but still! #knitsky
Very little of what I do is actual knitting. A portion of my desk as I patiently and painstakingly go through a pattern and calculator to make sure each question is answered, and answered correctly! The process can be hard, but the ratio of satisfaction when I finally get it is pretty high! #knitsky
Had to rip back part of my swatch to finish the Napoli head wrap in Straight Up DK from Mod Yarns. I used a Dritz Hem Gauge to wrap the yarn from the swatch around, then steamed it from both sides. It was ready to knit by the time I was ready! #knittingtipsandtricks #swatchknitting #jillwolcottknits

Finished a project on Saturday. It took about 9 min to do a full row. Short rows took 6 mins per pair of rows. 10 sets of short rows with 3 pairs per set. 30 pairs x 6 min is 180 mins/3 hrs. 13 sets of full rows x 9 min is 117 min/2 hrs, + CO & BO, so 5.5 hrs. Why do I keep track of time? #knitsky
