Yeah I'm debating stripping it down and redoing it - I've got an airbrush too and I'm looking at that option as well. It's fun to play with this regardless
Goofing with some glow effects with no idea what I'm doing ๐
Elden Ring has a manga?!?!
todays a big day for longtime discord haters like myself ๐ซฉ
My hands are too big for this stuff I swear.
Another toaster devotee ๐ค You are all so talented ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
Yeah his voice isn't bad I suppose ๐
Seconded on the drilling! Takes patience and practice. Mine are still wonky af ๐
Yeah if you're dry brushing, the thickness issue negates itself. As you're patting it on bit by bit. Some people prefer to thin their paints and do several base coats. I'd experiment and see which you prefer
Honestly, have fun with it. Making mistakes is part of the hobby.
My old ass bought a magnifier lamp as I can't see shit. Big recommend as these things are mini af
Citadel paints/most paints are THICC (my first attempt below)
Dry brushing it's just a very very small amount of paint on the brush. You sort of attack the model and the paint slowly builds up. Once the paint gets too thick, you lose detail. dry brushing can be used for highlighting
Good sharp plastic snips for the sprues. Also I still get confused about what configurations are you allowed per squad (check the codex). I've found the super glue gel superior personally but I've left thumb prints. For my grey knights I primed them grey, then dry brushed the base coat. Current WIP
I gotta send you the video of a guy playing 3E - it might help ๐
There's also nothing wrong with painting kick ass minis and never battling. I also like playing the video games. I recommend battle sector as it does use dice behind each attack etc
I did not know you were a Warhammer man of culture as well! 10th edition is the most fast paced compared to the 90s version, which I played and hated. Check out play on tabletop on YouTube - they do 40k in 40 minutes and it looks way more fun. I'm currently painting up some grey knights.
Yesss!!! Aaa! I was so happy to hear your name on that project, I had to bully George into saying hi for me ๐
This Geese's lapdog thing has gone too far ๐
HORSE! HORSE! HORSE! ( you had to be there, no further context will be provided ) ๐
You killed it hosting mate. I mean the TV was killed too but I digress.๐
an unfinished black and white digital painting of pasqal haneumann, a tech priest character from the video game warhammer 40,000: rogue trader. he is depicted wearing a large mantle at a low angle from the waist up with his hands (one human, one robotic) crossed over his chest, looking up into the distance with a sorrowful expression. his right eye is obscured by optical lenses, and the lower half of his face is covered by a large metallic respirator mask with several black tubes connected to it. his head is framed by the cult of the omnissiah logo, a circular black and white cog symbol. the signature reads "ftern 2025".
