I experienced first hand that company culture is indeed very easy to be destroyed, either through a hiring frenzy in "hyper growth phases" or leadership changes or HR changes with different people in the hiring process

Let's talk about AI Hype and the Theory of Constraints. From a business perspective, the key metric is "lead time." The time it takes to get an idea to the point where it's producing revenue ("in the customer's hands").

Screenshot of Safari 26 in "tabs at the top" mode showing a webpage that is set to `viewport-fit=cover` and the dynamic toolbars scrolled away (minimized). The viewport is too short and the safe area insets are all wrong. Device: iPhone 13 Pro.

Viewport behavior in Safari 26 is utterly broken. 🙄😭
Time to get Viewports into #Interop2026 because viewports on iOS have gotten only worse since I did the initial research in, *checks notes*, 2022 — github.com/web-platform...
Just incredible
watch out for tremors, might require an injection for dependency ! ok ok, this might have been too much, it's not like I have heaps of puns
I guess she forgot to read the part about URSS' role in WW2
it is incredible that we are all aligned in this intermediate language of comedy
there's the sunk cost and then there's the dunk cost

O fim de um tempo. Há muitos seres abjectos no mundo; o que é novo e terrível é que em tempos recentes nenhum ser tão abjecto teve tanto poder.
"business school did" - I agree. And perhaps this world view by technocrats that if something is technically correct then it's correct for society, even if it completely ignores foundational aspects of society and its specificities and subjectivity.
the point I attempted to make (poorly!) was that typically those bootcamps are very much focused on specific toolsets whilst "traditional" computer science or engineering cover a larger spectrum of topics and in some countries even have humanities courses
I absolutely concur with you now that you gave me more thought on it. I didn't want to make a jab to people that did/does those bootcamps.
and it should be said that many nowadays coders/programmers just did bootcamps to learn how to code but lack proper education.. oh and on that front, gotta love where killing social studies/philosophy is leading us!

it sure is sad that the obvious needs to be verbalized and that, doing so, is an act of bravery
Felizmente, acabou a ditadura woke e já se pode fazer a saudação nazi sem represálias.
i had an absolute blast building this! hard to measure up to @joshwcomeau.com or @samwho.dev levels of quality but i'm pretty pleased with it 🏋️
