I don’t think I can begin to explain how salty I am to FINALLY see African themed CAS items in a pack I couldn’t care less about

Even when this game inevitably comes to an end, you don’t have to stop making videos about a game that you already own if you don’t want to. Just don’t prop up the new stuff because we all know where that money is going. Again, this is just my personal opinion

I’m with you here. I don’t expect YouTubers (primarily the bigger ones who’ve built their entire brand around the sims) to stop doing sims videos. But leaving the ECN and NOT promoting/encouraging people to buy new packs is a litmus test for me personally.

That part! As if we haven’t started over every time there’s been a new sims game. And just because they make a new game doesn’t mean you HAVE to stop playing the sims 4 if you don’t want to. It’s just ridiculous

They definitely overplayed their hand. They’ve put every other occult in this game in a GP and it worked just fine. This was a HUGE stretch and if this is how it’s going to be going forward, they’re better off just ending the sims 4

The idea that a single game costs $1500 (and will only cost more as time goes on) to get the full experience is the exact OPPOSITE of player friendly. Literally no other game is like this, but for the sims, we’ve just let it slide for some reason. And I count myself in that “we”

I also feel like they think they can get away with it because their assumption is that mostly 12 and 13 year olds play this game

Bc why wouldn’t they try to get more for less instead of actually trying to deliver good content? And the funniest thing of all is that their reasoning for keeping this game going until the end of time was “player friendliness” when there’s nothing player friendly about their business practices

Which means that they KNOW they’re charging us an arm and a leg for half baked content. I’m sure the shrinking animations for them were expensive (same with horses) but fairy woohoo and sleeping on the ground does not an expansion pack make. It does nothing to expand the game and they know that

I just truly think they lost the plot a long time ago. And since they’ve seemingly discontinued game packs, they have no idea what an EP is supposed to be

I haven’t bought it out of protest, because fairies have always been my least favorite occult and I never understood the hype for them I was seeing online. And there’s not a chance in hell that I’m paying an expansion pack price for fairies

You and I are in the same boat. I’ve bought everything they’ve put out (with the exception of the Star Wars pack and EBN) and the only one I didn’t buy on release day was MFPS. And I actually haven’t felt this pissed off SINCE the Star Wars pack

Same, I’ve never hoped more for a packs downfall. The more they advertise it and try to force it onto to me, the less interested I am in getting it. Even after they’ve added a toggle to disable the annoying stuff

This genuinely makes me think the pack is actually flopping

Honestly. And I’m never one to say “this should have been a game pack,” blah blah, but I really don’t think I would be so irritated by it if it were. Bc I know they aren’t charging that much bc it’s an expansions worth of content, but because it was probably expensive for them to make fairy woohoo 🫠

Same. The only thing I would want is a few hairstyles, most of CAS/BB looks unusable in normal circumstances. I’d likely never play with fairies and all of the non fairy content seems like it would only get in the way. Maybe at a game pack price, but only if I can disable… the whole pack basically

So… fairies look well done, at least. I’m still not seeing enough to warrant this being an expansion pack. I really do try not to be that guy, but aside from watering indoor plants, I didn’t see anything that would actually enhance regular gameplay. Which is what expansion packs are reserved for imo

I usually find at least one thing to like about EVERY expansion pack enough to buy it on release day. It’s mostly the fact that I’ve never cared about fairies and my least favorite occult gets the biggest pack type dedicated to it. If this were a $20 game pack, I’d have nothing negative to say.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way. I feel like so many folks in the community are excited about fairies, but personally I’ve never cared about them and am sad to see an entire expansion centered around them. Maybe I overlooked something, but I didn’t really see anything that felt new.
