The Americans sailed their huge fleet over to the M.E. Over the course of what six weeks? There was no element of surprise and homie was chilling in his compound in Tehran.

Yeah, I think he wanted to be martyred, and I think the IRGC is ready to fight this war without him.

I went to a Trump rally in 2016, before he had even won the Republican primary, and immediately diagnosed them as Nazis I don’t know what took everybody else so long.

Trump may issue an executive order forcing banks to make their customers prove their citizenship by providing documentation.

I wonder which is more dangerous to people… getting evicted or being detained by federal immigration agents?

LOL!

My hometown City Attorney said the same thing when they were in State Court, knowing damned well we were losing a case on a housing lawsuit (we are big ole NIMBYs and don’t like California housing mandates).

Translation: Deny our motion your honor we’re going to the Supreme Court let’s go.

If you’re going to ask the question of how many people died prior to 1942, I recommend asking how many people died each year before 1942.

How many people died in 1941 is not an adequate query for determining how many people died from 1933-1941.

Flipping the old notion that we should be willing to let 10 guilty men go free to avoid 1 innocent man’s detention…..

Calling it now.

Time Magazine’s 2026 Person of the Year will be β€œMillions of Paul Revere’s.”

It’s America’s 250th birthday. We the People are once again standing up to a tyrant by uniting and organizing.

Let freedom reign for 250 more years!

MFW my coworkers are talking about the potential mileage tax that was proposed in California. You’re going to look for a job closer to home? The tax is already working!!!

Me: Studied history, economics, philosophy, and the law to prepare myself to be a reply guy with aspirations to work in government, for an elected official, or to run myself.

Republicans: Govern by vibes.

This simple analysis I provided is more than the local police or public works department would ever offer, took me 5 minutes and required zero paid resources besides a computer and an internet connection. Cities aught to do much, much better work in explaining what happened when people die.

It is sad, you can see how people drive Oregon Ave on Google Maps. From both directions there are skid marks entering St Francis Ave, which tells me people regularly whip through that turn at high speed. That’s surprising since it’s tucked deep into a suburb so it was probably a neighbor.

With that said, as somebody who has also lost a loved one to traffic violence… there are no visual obstructions that should have affected the driver so I suspect reckless speed, distraction, or some combination of these and the sun factor. Looking at this intersection, no excuse for a death.

This stuff pisses me off too. FEMA values a life at something like $10M bucks but when somebody dies we barely ask why.

If I’m the drivers defense attorney, I’d argue the sun was the primary factor. Driving eastbound right after sunrise would present challenges.

One of my conclusions from working on campaigns is that it’s 100% up to We the People to move public opinion. Electeds will join us if we do, but they are worthless if the lose their next election and are hesitant to stick their necks out.

Dems do need a more aggressive primary culture.

@ktla.com on Sunday morning a full day after the shooting of Alex Pretti described the incident as a β€œfederal agent-involved shooting.”

Embarrassing.

That dude bought the property tax in 2008, so unless he improved t and earned himself a reassessment (shoutout to LVT for not punishing construction), his property taxes wouldn’t have come anywhere near doubling.

Oh yeah if it’s so hard to turn a profit by renting, make a profit by selling. Problem solved.

Skill issue indeed.

The same people who will demand a new apartment complex be charged hundreds of thousands of dollars in development fees will however, become incensed when the DMV or the city clerk raise the fees as a way to levy taxes without representation.

I will not judge them until I know their property taxes.

If they are a newish owner I’m somewhat sympathetic. If they’ve owned that thing since 2005 then their complaints are a skill issue and I have no pity for them.
