and if I'm not gonna benefit from long range line of sight effects and am gonna have an area where I'm most effective, I think I might as well play a paladin with magic initiate (for find familiar) to at least incentivize people to be near me
conceptualizing a D&D build where I can reliably play a blind character. I don't like exploiting the idea of "find familiar" allowing you to see through your familiar's senses but bats have 60ft blindsight which I think is thematically supposed to be echolocation and I think dwarf's tremorsense fits
