Last post. These are from the 2003 sketchbook. I like looking at old work, but find this time period pretty embarrassing. I do like these pages though, fake construction lines and wonky perspective and all. I can remember drawing becoming more fun at this time.

I don't know if these will be interested to anyone else, but here are some of the rip-offs as I tried to develop something unique to me. This is the earliest one. Look, I got my Ai Yazawa rip-off autographed!
An old friend showed up today with some sketchbooks of mine that he'd found, from 2001-2003. The drawings are from a weird in-between time, after my cute but cringey high school phase, and before I started to find a style. A lot of scribbled out fail attempts and rip-offs of artists I loved.

I have been drawing for myself a lot lately but it’s been difficult to feel good about any of it. I miss when I used to just post whatever and didn’t care if it was good enough or had a point or whatever. I’m trying to get back to that but it’s hard!
