A synthwave-cum-cyberpunk level, as seen through the lens of 80s puzzle platform mascot Dizzy the egg. All in glorious 256x192 resolution.
Hell, have a screenshot from a project I swear I will get back to at some point.
16. Dizzy The Adventurer (1991) - NES
Because I make terrible life choices, I played and beat this today. I was 100 points shy of a perfect score btw. Anyhow, while I like the point & click style of the puzzle, the movement in this is brutally punishing. Not being able to control your roll is awful
Found fantastic dizzy is a toy shop yesterday. Cart only and the label is a bit worn but at a bargain of a price. Didn't know about this one, seems pretty fun.
Figured out the plant and weed killer puzzles...looks huge for one sitting though...almost as big as Emu's Massive Hunt for the Vic 20!
@demontomatodave.bsky.social Are you still in with the Yolkfolk folk? If so, please arrange.
Platformers that I love that aren't Mario or Sonic.
I suddenly notice my C64 bias.
Fantasy World Dizzy on PS5 would heal the world
Minor late night Cursed 50 update: Since I finished Treasure Island Dizzy I went back and finished the achievements in Quattro Adventure for it. I only missed 3 secrets and one of them was so messed up they warp you inside the water and you will likely die and not have the snorkel
50. Dizzy โ The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure (Code Masters / Oliver Twins) - ZX Spectrum
I personally think the first game is the weakest of the run, but it's still an amazing game in its own right and help to launch the gaming series of everyone's favourite egg in boxing gloves.

Loved adventure games
Aegon Targaryen looks around his living room on acid and sees more than meets the eye. Inexplicably, the egg-shaped cunt is wearing boxing gloves.

Back we go, good morning sweet reader, back we go to the beginning of time. Dizzy Time, that is. Back we go to 1988 and Ian Gray has been tasked with converting a #Speccy game to the #C64. Arguably, the result is superior. As arcade adventures went, well... 1/2 >>>

Awesome person, and who can blame him with a Dizzy tattoo on his arm.

Correcting a mistake made on my previous post.

You can also find it on our Posters page.
There's a PC remake of Seymour - Take One in the works by Enthusiast Guy, who is using his own engine, Continuum 93.
The YouTube video fully explains the project.
It's in Alpha stage at the moment with download link in the video description.

Back in the day, you could send any duplicate Dizzy Collectors Cards to Codemasters to trade for other cards you didn't own.
SylarDean from the Dizzy forums did exactly that and received two cards and this Compliments Slip dated May 1994.
It's now on Yolkfolk's Museum page.

In June 2023, Board Boosters kicked off with their first target game: Dreamworld Pogie! Created for the #NES by the Oliver twins, Pogie is a spinoff of the well-known Dizzy adventure titles. It's a fast paced platformer with 15 stages - a quick jaunt that was a great starter project for our club!
