It’s with great sadness that we report the passing of M1135 (Cejitos). Cejitos was born at Wolf Haven in April 2008 and lived his almost-18 years here. His fiery resilience and noble bearing are dearly missed. RIP, Cejitos.

Coyote Norman has settled in so well. He frequently raises his voice to join sanctuary howls - and to let his general opinions be known. Norman and Hope have developed a wonderful bond, and his presence has made her more relaxed and playful.

Mexican wolves M2048 (Rover) and F1586 (Springer) demonstrate why it is so challenging to maintain vegetation in enclosures with wolves. Over the years we have had wolves dig up and drag trees that were 3-4 times their weight in seeming delight.

Recent trail camera deployments have allowed us to catch after-hours glimpses into how some of our residents choose to rest. Seventeen-year-old M1135 (Cejitos) rolled lazily in his straw, while M2214 (Cedar) and F1945 (Nash) slept peacefully side-by-side. #wolfhaven #SAFE #endangeredspecies
We are excited to share that American Red Wolf M2403 (Ghost) was transferred to Wolf Haven in early January to be a companion for F2537 (Cassia). Due to an injury as a very young pup, Ghost is an amputee missing his left rear leg, but he moves well and his health is not impacted.
