It’s hard to imagine Belinda’sPlace is celebrating its 10 year in serving our community. During this time it has helped over 700 women find permanent housing through programs like “Home Now” and Second Stage Housing. Proud to reflect on this achievement with most of our original board members.
Kudos to the Affordable Housing Coalition for arranging the screening of “Thinking Beyond the Market: A Film about Genuinely Affordable Housing” & the discussions that followed. It was good to hear about our progress, knowing as well, that still more needs to be done.
Once one of the most vocal critics of the federal government, Scott Moe agrees that PM Carney is “elevating Canadian credibility”.

Yesterday, our government announced that there will NOT be a Pickering Airport.
All of the lands will be transferred to Parks Canada for the Rouge Urban National Park, making the RUNP one of the top 10 largest urban parks in the world!
