Oh.

“We have agreed” — how nice of them! Surely they’re doing this work pro bono right?

And in good news: “The treatments could be on the market and rolled out to patients as early as this summer…

'Micromobility' Commission Recommends Improved Classification, Regulation of Motorbikes and Scooters - Streetsblog Massachusetts Among other recommendations, the commission supports expanding bikeshare systems and other micromobility options as a safer, less expensive, and more efficient alternative to driving.

Not against making ebikes safer, but given how woefully few laws get passed each year by our state government, I'd rather see the time spent on things like: affordable housing; skyrocketing utilities; the environment; supporting education, homelessness, and food insecurity; and resisting the fed.

I’ve said it before. This person has been selling snake oil. A legitimate government would have rejected her during the vetting process.

Horrified by the death of our Massachusetts neighbor Emmanuel Damas in ICE custody. He was denied medical care for months.

I’m sending his family my deepest condolences. A family who has been robbed of their brother & son.

Emmanuel is at least the tenth person to die in ICE custody this year.

Grok being wrong:

The Onion does have (hilarious) print editions, but this specific "Sam Altman" piece isn't from them—or any real outlet. It's a custom meme image made to look like one, floating around since at least February. Spot on for the satire though!

To make matter better (for once instead of worse) that solar array will pay for itself and the heat pump in short number of years.

Clean energy is the only path forward. We can't wait for the fed to do the right thing, so it's left to states and cities like Somerville to lead the way in the US.

I was very happy to vote in favor of a new heat pump and what will be the city's largest solar array at 133 Holland Street.

Trump admits Epic Fury, which has cost U.S. over $31 billion, might not change anything. A Kuwaiti pilot accidentally shoots down U.S. F-15s, the CIA arms Kurdish forces, & Meta patents AI model to simulate dead users.

This war is an atrocity viewed from any angle.

Trump launched an illegal war without Congressional authorization. Bush at least made gestures before starting a useless war.

There's only one acceptable response: impeach the president and secretary of defense. Silence from Congress is dereliction.

I'd like to share my announcement ...that I'm sticking to city council.

I am very excited about Ben Ewen-Campen's run for state rep though. I'm in his ward and he's been a reliable, rational, and empathetic leader in the ward and the city.

As the article notes we’ve sat on a board endorsed plan to electrified since 2019.

This grant was for fire department security cameras that face out to the public. I’d like to get them these cameras, but I don’t feel that it’s appropriate (esp. these days) to have them feeding into BRIC.

Guardian joins media coalition to protect original journalism from unpaid use by AI BBC and Financial Times among those calling for frameworks to help publishers gain control over their content being ‘scraped and copied’ A coalition of UK media companies including the Guardian has urged industry peers to back global frameworks ensuring AI firms pay for the journalism they use.
