Yesterday, both people ahead of me in line at CVS left without picking up their meds due to cost. An incredibly depressing state of affairs.

Excellent birds. Flying birds. Central Park near sunset.
Hard to imagine a better or more intellectually inspiring way to begin a week than coffee β¦at Broadsheet in (my) Cambridge with the brilliant β¦Jack Scannell - always a treat!
Got home and downloaded my pics from the trip to desktop. Here are some better versions of pics of the two eagles I saw at the @jgi.doe.gov user meeting in Seattle. #birds

My thoughts on agency as motivational currency of health timmermanreport.com/2026/02/agen... from yesterday's Boston Health Innovation Night organized by Steven Wardell, now posted at Timmerman Report (along w a few pix). @nachristakis.bsky.social @ashishkjha.bsky.social @lisamjarvis.bsky.social
Super excited for this Boston innovation event tonight organized by Steven Wardell; will be sharing a few remarks focused on importance of cultivating agency to enhance health; I view the DPP developed by my clinical diabetes mentor David Nathan at MGH as compelling example. @lisamjarvis.bsky.social
how about a nice game of chess?
Also, you might find this look at the broader challenge of the "science" around the pursuit of precision health interventions interesting -> timmermanreport.com/2025/08/seek... . Most every health platform ostensibly offering (and "now-with AI!")-but actual ability to offer this usu way overstated.
Perhaps not surprisingly (since he was my clinical mentor for the diabetes component of my endocrinology training), I entirely agree w David Nathan's perspective as captured in your excellent piece.
Hey @lisamjarvis.bsky.social - CGM for non-diabetics seems to be another attractive idea for "precision" better in theory than in practice, as discussed in detail in @kevinh-phd.bsky.social @juliabelluz.bsky.social book "Food Intelligence"; I discussed here -> timmermanreport.com/2025/10/food....
So excited to sharing a few remarks Thursday at Boston Health Innovation Night, on importance of agency in health. Info below...

Impt to distinguish betw indefensible extensive assoc w epstein & much of additional critique which includes ton of simmering resentment from jealous aspirational influencers over Attia's outsized success; his bk has issues but also has inspired many productively; useful view of uncertainties/risk.
surprised to hear this - at least where i grew up (SW Connecticut), these birds and chickadees, as i recall, were frequent visitors at our feeders - goldfinch less frequent (before we switched to thistle seed). Recognize having a bird feeder likely anathema to true birders... but great memories.

I enjoy ONE heavy snowfall per winter that melts soon afterward.
ONE.
THAT MELTS SOON AFTERWARD.

Great to see @adrianwoolfson.bsky.social clearly living his best life as he discusses what sounds like an incredibly interesting new book he has written about the intersection of biology, genetic engineering, evolution, and AI....
Lovely invtw of @bradstulberg.bsky.social by @angeladuckworth.bsky.social youtu.be/ug4muImOCxg?siβ¦ -remarkable not only for Brad's ever-thoughtful POV, but also Angela's incredibly selfless approach-so many opportunities at which she might have shared her own expertise (at times I wish she did)β¦
