Welcome back Stuart!
I think bluesky would be roughly 300% better if people here were capable of reading βthis is an assessment of the empirical reality of a situationβ without assuming it comes with an implicit βand therefore I endorse the reality of that situationβ
This is exactly what they are doing and why I am willing to give them a slight pass on how incredibly hypocritical it isβthere is one intended audience (it certainly isn't the general public), and the downsides of them potentially not stabilizing the relationship is much greater than the PR hit.
This is how I learned about it, so, thank you.
Threw you a friend request!
tbh, I forgot this was still happening. I remain unconvinced the partnership will deliver, but I would *gladly* be surprised by and accept any success.
Gosh damn it Roger I might have to boycott the series over this and other bullshit. Massive loss in confidence in just a couple days.
Really incredible but entirely predictable that, with the all the likely potential to damage the already lackluster state of AOWR for years to come, Roger Penske would go out of his way to do something so incredibly divisive with zero guarantee of success because politics.
I keep seeing takes that F1 is leaving IndyCar in the dust in America, but IndyCar found a way to embarrassingly link up with an unpopular despot of a country for a street race without even leaving its home market. That's innovation! F1 has to go to other continents to do that!
Do you believe that the character of it was bludgeoned out to just be Claude? I know multiple people who hold that opinion.
Congrats!
I think this is my plan once I get my first paycheck and can justify the ROI (which should be pretty easy).
If someone was to tell the me of five years ago that my first proper job would be βcommunity managementβ, I probably would have thought they were crazy. Alas, a lot can happen and change in five years!
he's also very orange
It was something we wanted to eventually work towards at out last startup (especially for robots), but we ran out of runway far before we could get to working on it.
Well, it's time to take the *cat* out of the bag: With the help of nekko.ai, I will be joining AiFoundry.org in community management & engagement, developer advocacy, lab maintenance, and more in benefit of the project.
Please! It has helped me return here.
I would say that it is much more valuable to have personal tech sovereignty than worry about the purity of your code/tools, but it really is up to your value system.
That's not a βReady-Player-One-ass carβ; that's an actual, honest to goodness βReady-Player-One ass-carβ and I can't believe it's real.
Inspired by Prusa's new license "for the maker community", OCL, I'm introducing it's long-awaited sequel, SOCL!
Like Hollow Knight Silksong, it promises to be an improvement over its prequel in every way.
Looking forward to community adoption and feedback!

PSA for Statesiders: KOSA, SCREEN Act, and (most dangerously) striking Section 230 are back for their perennial appearance in Congress, and you should be calling your representative to kill the bills unless you really want the Web as you know it destroyed.
Rare (for these days) political post, to simply say: I'm proud of my hometown.
Variable register allocation and an increase to 10 threads-per-EU are icing on the cake, and it should be much easier to extract performance without massive penalties for higher-complexity vector workloadsβif Intel can get their software right, it should be quite competent.
To put it in perspective, consider that Lunar Lake had 2.7Γ more theoretical throughput relative to available global memory bandwidth versus Battlemage, with less L1$/SLM and L2$ to bootβmarginally compute-bound workloads on the latter easily became memory-bound on the former!
Initial appraisal on Xe3: It's a nice improvement over Xe2, and it's a good thing it isn't a radical change generationally: L1$/SLM increasing to 256 KiB in-line with Battlemage is appreciated, and the doubling of L2$ to 16 MiB is even more welcome given limited memory bandwidth.
Aaron Swartz did not die for "100 documents per month"
Far more true of Plan 9.

@freya.bsky.social, do you have any advice? You seem to be the person that would most likely to have that in my circles.
