No. We needed SB5412 to happen first :)
Thanks fmr councilman Lewis for the advocacy at the state level for this!
Good stuff!!!
Why are memory stocks down?
Good morning and welcome to the month where Seattle opens the only light rail line across a floating bridge anywhere in the world.
Looking around the city, it's impressive the degree to which we're using the amorphous concept of history as an excuse to not take action on a whole breadth of immediate issues.
At least we are getting some bollards?
Overheard in Pike Place from a five year old: “why are people driving over here?”
This is amazing.

this stuff doesn't happen in other countries :(
too many guns in the USA
If you've been noticing 1 and 2 Line trains slowing down between International District and Symphony, it's because of a newly identified defect in the embedded rail at Pioneer Square.
It's set to be repaired just before the Crosslake Connection opens, during the March 21-22 DSTT closure.
OMFG FINALLY LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!! 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
Do you recall when the previous one was? Taylor + Mariners maybe?
Incredible. And without the cross lake connection! And downtown was so chill without all the cars. It was awesome.
We definitely should do that
Historically, cars have always existed in Pioneer Square so
Dang…
Why isn’t this going all the way to DT Kirkland 😭
Just going to need a very long bridge
The connection at South Bellevue makes a lot more sense imo
The lights on the i90 trail are back on after a two year hiatus!
It’s a better investment to build light rail in Seattle versus in Issaquah.
However, it’s still great to see enthusiasm in a suburb for transit.
Clearly need some better super glue ;)
Yikessss
Only 5 stories though :(
Ask and you shall receive!
Very nice!!!
"The closure will be in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, starting Monday, February 23. It is scheduled to last through March 20."
Happening Monday!
doubt you'll be able to use the restroom there either way!
unless they follow some European model ($1 / use)
