A few years ago in Malaysia, I crossed paths with a man Iβve come to call Carmelo. He was quiet and kind, with a presence that stayed with me long after our brief exchange. I took a simple photo of him, nothing remarkable at the time. But over the years, that image transformed in my mind. I began to imagine him as a jester: draped in worn, vibrant garments, a figure balancing joy and sorrow. His eyes, unchanged, seemed to speak volumes, full of unspoken stories and quiet wisdom.
Years ago in Malaysia, I met a quiet man I called Carmelo. I took a photo, simple, forgettable. But over time, he became a jester in my mind: vibrant, worn, eyes full of quiet sorrow. A reminder of the light and shadow we all carry.
