BYD’s Second-Generation Blade Battery Makes Western EV Tech Look Ancient The battery can add a staggering amount of range in under 10 minutes. Here's just how quick it is, and how it compares to the best Western designs.

The latest EV batteries from BYD can charge to 70% in 5 minutes and 97% in 10 minutes.

They're leaving American manufacturers in the dust, and after Trump's all-out war on renewables and EVs, we may never catch up. China is probably going to supply the world.

Fishermen are right to oppose a ban on tangle netting in the absence of a wider plan for fisheries recovery.

I think there is agreement that these areas need proper management that could allow both fish and fishermen to flourish...

Attempt to destroy Iran’s nuclear programme could backfire and drive regime towards a bomb, experts warn US-Israeli onslaught may lead regime to push for bomb or embolden other groups to steal uranium stockpile

In response to the June 2025 attacks, Iran excluded UN inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from sensitive sites, so the watchdog lost track of what became of Iran's 440kg highly enriched uranium (HEU) stockpile.

At public meeting on offshore wind farms in Dublin last night, speaker’s Gotcha slide featured monstrously huge turbines looming over Dublin Bay (below, left).

When I asked him to confirm this image is technically accurate, ie verifed by an engineer, turns out nah, Photoshop quickie.

Why are thousands of rare and protected species drowning in fishing gear off the Irish coast, including in our only marine National Park?
