Yes, that was a Gordon eighth grader taking the gold medal in the Middle School Women’s Epee event at the Rhode Island Middle & High School Invitational yesterday. At this event, competitors wear their schools’ logos on their masks, and our medalist was proud to be representing Gordon.
Congratulations to Gordon’s MathCounts team, who came in third place in today’s state competition at CCRI’s Warwick campus. It was the tenth year of the past eleven that Gordon placed in the top three statewide.

Opening night is still two weeks away but the Middle School production is in high gear. This year’s musical is Something Rotten, the tale of two 1590s playwrights determined to outshine Shakespeare by writing the first musical comedy. The curtain goes up Wednesday the 18th at 6:30pm.
