A still life in charcoal and conte of a jug, kettle, vase, seashell, grapes, and roses.

All kidding aside - here's a thing on plane lights. pilotinstitute.com/airplane-lig... (although I suspect the "We Need To Make It Bigger" theory is the right one).
Maybe on's the turning indicator?
I noped out of AC: Black Flag because of a frustration-inducing follow mission. Even killing every NPC in the area in advance didn't help since witnesses spawned in when the mission started. Ugh! Still not as bad as escort missions, though.
A very toothy long-eared striped monster with bright yellow cats-eyes presents a wrapped present. Done with coloured pencil and acrylic paint pen on red card stock.
A suspiciously gleeful monster wishes you a happy holiday. Done at the Ottawa School of Art for a card. #art #monster #christmas
Iβm definitely getting my moneyβs worth from my Patreon support.
A poorly lit blue and orange watercolour with a neurograph overlaid in black ink.
My attempt to make an upsized edition went astray β¦ #neurograph #watercolour #art
A blind contour drawing of figure on a background of primary colours.
A blind contour drawing of a figure dividing colour fields of red and purple.
A blind contour drawing of a three-armed figure separates fields of teal, red and blue.
A really nifty blind contour drawing at my life drawing groupβs year-end potluck inspired me to do a few of my own. #art #blindcontourdrawing #colourmarkers
A utility pole and trees are silhouetted against a blue and orange background.
A little bit of Sharpie over an old blue and orange watercolour I never got around to finishing. #art #sharpie #watercolour
Stop, you're making me eel.
A collage shows an owl carrying a clock flying in front of a magnifying glass that resembles a full moon. A dreaming figure sits at the bass of the magnifying glass on a foreground of redwood trunks. A sleeping owl can be seen in one of the trunks.
Some collage work from the Ottawa School of Art. #collage #art #owl #dreaming #time

A pencil drawing of one of those stackable plastic chairs with metal legs that are ubiquitous at community centres.
Gosh darn it, I really like this little sketch of a chair I did at Wednesday night life drawing!
Surprised they didn't ask for the furniture in the bargain.
Self portrait with conte pencils - a clean shaven man in his 50s with his hair pulled back looks to the right.
Self portrait done with conte pencils. #selfportrait #pencils
A self portrait in black and red sanguine pencils
An ink self portrait done without looking at the page (much).
Messing about with ink and some birthday pencils as I aim for a self portrait a day. #art #selfportrait #ink #pencil #sanguine
What really kills me when I order from the U.S. is if the shipper jacks up their brokerage fee. A $26 dollar wack from the HST (on a $200 order) turned into a $116 dollar customs fee.
That's a lot of Pacific Palisades ...
.... that you will probably bang your head against when you sit up too quickly.
Crisis, Longshot, Grimjack, Miracleman, Squadron Supreme for me (and others, but those are what stick in my mind).
Just finished Nadel's Crumb bio, also working my way through Robert Musil's "The Man Without Qualities".
I've occasionally ordered from Russell Books. Good prices and free Canadian and U.S. shipping over $75. www.russellbooks.com
Unless you count that angry emu rancher, but that was a special case.
For what it's worth, I worked as a newspaper editor for 20 years, and I can't remember a single time when the wishes of an advertiser was considered while we were covering a story. Defamation did come up with some regularity.
Here in Ottawa we've got Purple Urchin. www.purpleurchinsoap.com
All those I.C.E. games were murder on the math impaired - but they did a great job with the feel of the setting.
There was a fair bit of late 1970s and early 1980s games in there as well - Star Trek, Mercenaries Spies & Private Eyes (still have a badly beaten copy of that around somewhere), TSR stuff, The Fantasy Trip, Aftermath, Wild West, Skull & Crossbones, Twilight 2000, MERP, Runequest, Marvel Supes ....
