My brain must be torturing me this week because today I woke up at 5am from a dream about my father dying and welp not sleeping after that either!
I've told my husband for weeks to "let your mom/brother know we are not available." The date is now almost 2 weeks away and I still haven't been given a date or time. Waiting to see the inevitable bitch fit coming when we don't show up to a party that we are notified about last minute.
My husband has a twin niece and nephew that were born around my mother's birthday and it's caused drama ever since because we prioritize my mother. This year I've been told they're having a Toy Story party but no date or time. I'm already booked my mom's bday weekend & have been for months.
Woke up at 4am from a dream that pissed me off so bad I couldn't go back to sleep and just started reading my book in bed.
Very proud of myself though that we have been home from Japan about a week and I have not only unpacked my bags but done 2 of the estimated 3 loads of laundry from the trip 💪😤🙌

I am a bit overwhelmed that my wedding post on tiktok is now up to 17k likes and the comments are still flooding in but it also feels incredibly validating to be seen like this for what was such a labor of love for myself and my husband. I requested off for Christmas Eve 10 months early because we have a 3 person team and my boss said she had to offer it to the one person who worked last year which is fair and she does want to be off but instead of then telling me ok I can approve you now that we checked with her first-

I deal with this shit for my job and it wastes even more time than just having a traditional phone tree. One office I regularly can't even get through the AI agent because I'm not an actual patient calling and they always want to text a code to the patient. AI in healthcare is so wack.

The tickets still worked and we still got to do the experience which was incredible, I just paid 3x what the actual price should have been. The scam site that has a similar name to the legit one so I'm sure they do get a lot of tourists but I'm a little more detail-oriented than my husband.
Unsurprisingly I'm a control freak and managed 90% of the planning and scheduling for my Japan trip, I let my husband buy tickets for one experience and they should have been under $50 but I got a charge for $136 and turned out they got scammed by the first Google result instead of the official site

Survived a grueling 13 hour flight in basic economy only to find out our connecting flight to our home city has now been delayed twice and we are now not getting home until after midnight. I've already been awake for 26 hours because I once again could not sleep on the plane🥲
Heading back to the US from Japan today and I still can't believe all the amazing and incredible things we did here. Going back kinda sucks but I keep telling myself I really miss my cats and it will be fun to see my friends again.
Arceus is really different for a Pokémon game but super fun! I also really enjoyed Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet. I would not reccomend ZA either for getting back into it. It's very different and has been challenging for me and I'm a huge Pokémon fan.
