Every time I get an email with my name misspelled as "Alysa," it makes me smile because I feel like that spelling got suddenly popularized for all the best reasons.
I absolutely love the yin and yang of a Pablo/Katie/Michael episode β in which I learned way too much about select uses of hyaluronic acid β immediately preceding whatever π£this episode is going to feature.
Honestly, at this point, it feels a lot like that specific set of fans would boo just about any woman placed next to Jack Hughes/a member of the men's team.
Just me, rewatching this video on loop, trying to remember what spring is like...

OK, I'm not going to lie, I'm being won over...
(Some of the other teams' 3rd kits however... π¬)
Bahahaha
OK the Spirit's third kit looks a MILLION times better here than in the leaks. (Turns out, low res is considered low res for a reason).
I'm still perplexed by the choice of pink on the CVS Health (why not match the blossom pink?) but... dammit, I could see myself buying it now.
Omgomgomg I want to support all things NWSL but if the jersey leaks are remotely accurate I have SOOOO many questions.
Maybe I'm hyperfixated on ADA compliance at work, but WHO CAN READ THESE?! As someone w/ oscillopsia I quite literally should avoid ever looking at Gotham's kit up close π
I sincerely hate everything about the MLB TV/ESPN+ merger.
While the men are laughing at DJTβs misogynist jokes, 2x Olympic gold medalist, 2x PWHL champion & 2x NCAA champion Kelly Pannek is speaking eloquently about Alex Prettiβs death, the power of community, and leadership in groups of people with disparate opinions.
WOMENβS SPORTS >
Respectfully: Eff you to every single one of the USA men's hockey team players who laughed at Trump's bull about the women's team. And, God bless the U.S. women's hockey team for turning down the White House "invitation."
Remember this every time MAGA spews more π© about "protecting women's sports."
*turning on the north london derby after that gold medal game* why do these ones have teeth
I say this as someone who actually roots for the Capitals: I donβt understand how anyone is a Tom Wilson fan.
there is still time for USA men's hockey to get involved in a low-stakes scandal overnight. golf cart theft, public urination, petting one of the bomb-sniffing security dogs despite repeated warnings. just throwing out some options. otherwise i question their desire to win
Reading through the day's latest horrors while listening to Hilary Duff is a weird experience.
Okay this post instantly made my eyes well up.
The way Alysa Liu hyped up Sakamoto and Nakai nearly made me π
And, Amber sticking around to cheer on her friend β simply incredible.
Ugh I love womenβs sports so much.
(But also, Iliaβs pure joy at Alysaβs skate β€οΈ)
Also, growing up a diehard figure skating fan who watched the sport deal with the worst kind of drama, abuses, and a culture that drove so many athletes to suffer eating disorders... it's simply amazing to see someone earn the very highest award while lifting up everyone around her.
In a world with just.. so much... it's honestly so incredible to be reminded that pouring your heart into something simply for the love of it is a magical thing.
Megan Keller, who scored the golden goal for Team USA against Canada, plays pro hockey for the Boston Fleet.

What a skate to be proud of, Amber Glenn.
"I didn't fall in the Olympics" after her free skate. π₯Ή got me tearing up in the club

Did U2 drop an Ash Wednesday themed EP today?
I'm not necessarily complaining, I'm just raising the question...
Anyone else enjoying this view of womenβs curling?
Oh come on, @washingtonpost.com β you cut your entire sports team, but then you deliver a notification to my phone that (nearly*) spoils the one event I was looking forward to most?!
* I closed it out after I saw a certain someone's name, but I'm a little afraid I already saw too much.
For @mnaurorafc.bsky.social, there was no debate about whether the team would speak out against ICE and its presence in the state.
The question was: What would they say? And, how could they make a tangible impact in their community?
