I'm currently reading the stormlight archive and I can feel this coming. Fortunately there's more Cosmere to read which will hopefully help.

Ughhhh I hate it when book characters annoy me with their very obvious mental health problem that would be greatly helped by just TALKING WITH OTHER CHARACTERS.

My partner made the mistake of showing me David Tennants doctor it took me years to watch the other modern doctors bc nothing could immediately stand up to him. I did end up enjoying them immensely tho. Only one I haven't seen from the modern crew is Christopher Eccleston's doctor.
My biggest gripe since switching to Firefox on both desktop and mobile is there's some sites and apps that will NOT log in w/ Firefox but switch to chrome and it's fine.
Blizzards battle.net is one of these(but intermittently) and so is my works salary packaging provider. Very annoying.
Yeah that's annoying. I had trouble with it recognising that I do indeed have a face but it eventually accepted it.
I do understand people being hesitant to fork over their IDs to these companies.
I will be annoyed if the change rolls out and I have to verify again. It was kinda annoying as it didn't wanna recognise that my face was a face LOL.

Their process is reasonable and you do not need to use government ID for verification just your face & it doesn't even capture your whole face just a portion!!
But it IS nice reading a book that kobo tells me is going to take 15+ hrs to read rather than 6-8 like most books.
The rate I read I much prefer books that are longer so Sando definitely hits that mark.
I also feel better that I picked the book up for $5 😁
If he continues this throughout the series it might just piss me off enough to not finish it. We will see.
I'm currently reading the first book of the stormlight archive and it's good the world and characters are interesting it's just Sanderson is jumping around between characters a little too much and there's chapters where it suddenly switches between 2 people's pov with no subtext or heading about it.
Some people just need to be bluntly told.

Books 2-5 is the ember in ashes series by Sabaa Tahir.
I enjoyed them. I found some of the plot points a little predictable figuring them out long before the reveal. The characters were a little weaker compared to the world which was interesting as fuck.

Ya I was so worried that by the end of the book she would be on her way to being "civilised" but she held her own values all the way through despite everything which was awesome.
Ya it's not your typical girl gets dragon becomes badass fighter. I did find it hard to read all the racist conceptions of the Anglish, bc it's very analogous to real life but I think the author is trying to explore these themes as an alternative where the natives "won" & fought out of oppression.

1. To Shape a Dragon's Breath. I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. It was well written & full of dragons. The main character is indigenous (& the author!) & the racism she experienced was awful but she managed to change peoples perspective of her.
Well that's good. And I'm glad you were able to get past the breakup in a positive way.
