I never remember to post on here, but the second draft of The Shattered Sky is complete and I am almost ready to start work on the third draft!

This part is the best part:

That’s the other thing that baffles me about AI and creative writing, actually.

The work IS the joy for me. I don’t want to be able to snap my fingers and have a completed “product.” I want to be transformed by the process. I’m an author but I do this because I enjoy the rigor of being a writer.

It is painful to know so many people who were shocked and horrified by these episodes will continue to justify the same type of genocide happening in real life.

I feel so bad for Sarkhan. I really hope he is able to recover from this and become a hero again.

This was my favorite of the clan stories for this set. Absolutely loved every moment.

It absolutely boggles my mind watching people DEMAND to return to objectively worse worldbuilding in a desperate attempt to cling to racist stereotypes.

I am no fan of WotC. They have done a lot of scummy things in the not-to-distant past. But for once they have actually done a good thing and paid respect to the cultures they are taking inspiration from, and for some inane reason fans are upset about it.

But a surprising number of MtG fans (not all, just a lot more than I anticipated) are upset about the changes. They want to throw out the much deeper and interesting worldbuilding and return to the shallow, racist worldbuilding.
