Had to take today slow though. A bad pancreatitis attack is what took my childhood kitty, Pumba. I'm happy to care for both of them, animal care is in my bones, it's something that just feels right. It's just been difficult remembering his end of life care today.

For the most part, all the meds and things we're doing now would be what we do to manage ongoing pancreatitis. All our observations for what helps her are also pancreatitis care things, so it feels like I've already been managing it. We -might- do a dietary change? I'm really not sure yet.

Shia's intestines look great! The flip side, is that we can't confirm the IBD diagnosis. All I know is that we treated it as IBD, and it got better. The bad news, is that her pancreas is looking angry now. So overall I'm glad we took a look, gives us clearer direction for her care!

The majestic house tiger is released back into her natural habitat... Yesterday was way too long of a vet stay, but we're both working on resting up today after so much stress. She got her ultrasound results in too.

Sounds like you have a lot of insight on the situation as a whole & good support systems, which is helpful for getting out of those situations. I’m rooting for ya to find a better fit, something that nurtures your mental health, as well as the finances!

Have gone through similar emotions/thoughts before with a group I used to be involved with, it’s a tough place to be! It’s difficult to imagine change while the brain is in that place, but your life is worth more than any job, (especially since jobs are only a fraction of what makes a life).

It really is scary when they get into their elder years! My kitty had a thyroid spike last year too, but right before we were going to do the iodine treatment, her levels went back to normal. It was probably due to her food. Thankfully it seems to be well studied & very treatable!

First she got another hot spot, and had to wear the cone of shame. Then daylight savings always wrecks her tummy health (I hate DST so much, why is this stupid practice even still around?!) She doesn't handle drop off visits very well, I'm so worried it's going to be too much piled up in one week.

Ugh, cleaning is done, now the anxiety is creeping back. Wish they were able to do these early in the day, (admittedly kind of mad that I didn't find that out until the day before). Shia had to fast for it, my poor food loving girl hasn’t eaten all day. On top of that, it's been a rough week for her

Now, back to burying anxiety about the procedure by cleaning the whole house! 🙃

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

No matter how many times I do this, my brain is going to scream, "But how will my chonky little girl survive skipping her favorite meal?!" So pro tip for neurotic pet guardians - don't be ashamed if your note keeping is on the boarder of obsessive. (Just keep it organized, in case you go back).

A habit I never knew would pay off - neurotically writing down everything. I’m anxiously planning for Shia’s ultrasound and am so nervous about the sedation. But I still have all my notes from 2 years ago, and am remembering how it was done before. More importantly, she made it through just fine.

Ah geez, I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with that! Those situations are nerve racking. Agreed, he needs to take that behavior seriously and do something about it. I’ve seen too many instances where the owner blows it off, and it spirals into an unmanageable situation.

Got a quote from the vet today, to do an ultrasound for Shia’s digestive issues. It's... yikes... but needs to be done. The bills so far this year have really been adding up, the regular job just can’t cover all of this, (plus we've been losing hours), I feel like I’m drowning.

Ever since clearing the commission list, I’ve been itching to do more digital pet portraits. Ideas for themes have been bouncing around in my head, but I was hoping to finish off the new line of sculpts first. Life of course has different plans…

For a Pokemon themed Tarot deck, this is the Nine of Swords card. Mega Banette holds his normal form in the palm of his hand. He curses others by pushing pins into himself. Sure, he's great at cursing, but there's a clear cost he has to pay - anxiety, despair and fear.
