Do the keys register events in Karabiner? I've used that to re-bind keys that go unrecognized by MacOS in the past. As long as the keystrokes appear, you should be able to wire them up.

Finally swapped my heads this morning with the set that I purchased two months ago. Now the toms match the snare, so long as I'm using the Dixon snare. Kinda wish Mapex had a purple finish for their shells to match.
I've always focused on rock and metal drumming, so to play funk and jazz is a bit alien to me. But this stutter pattern John Blackwell plays between the hi hat and bass drum is too good not to emulate.

Cover of Rush's Spirit of Radio is up! I've got a lot of mixing and mastering learning to get through before I can use recordings from the Earthworks mics, so for now this is still audio from the EAD10.

Haha! You still have it? I just got rid of the one in my photo. Optical drive failed.
Learned the bare minimum editing functionality of Davinci Resolve last night in order to put together a multicam video cover of a song. Still using the EAD10 for audio, but that will soon be significantly upgraded.

Who's been using MacBook Pros long enough to remember this?
Haven't heard of this one yet. I'm not sure I'm over the Nic Cage assault that is Longlegs to dive into another so soon, though.
This is one I used to play along to from a cassette borrowed from my local public library when I was a teenager. #smashingpumpkins #toolband #toolmusic #drums #drumming #drumcover #mapex #mapexdrums #meinl #meinlcymbals #dixondrums youtu.be/uep354BGb3U?...
I haven't used an electronic kit in a long time, but the last Roland one I used just had an 1/8" stereo input that you could run any music player into and mix that audio with the drum brain's audio. From photos, it looks like it's labeled "mix in" on yours.
I started posting drum covers on my YT account as I get back up to my prior playing ability. Here's a clip from a recent playthrough of Tool's Forty Six & 2. www.youtube.com/@ShaneRileyD...
