Totally agree with you. I’ve spent a decade fighting for better transit, only to be told by this council that essentially, transit is not worth investing in. We need to elect critical thinkers, not populist ones.

It would be easier to make the sidewalk wider. The levels of permissions needed to place a shelter is the reason why there aren’t enough of them.

The fight for bus shelter placement is as hard as the fight for bike lanes.

I’d be happy to discuss this possible direction with you. As someone who grew up in Nelson Park and still visits often on transit, I think I have a pretty decent stake in the conversation and perhaps some insights you aren’t aware of.
