Lets fucking go
Out of everything I played in Next Fest, Vultures stood out the most (partially because of my RE obsession). So I reached out to the devs and talked to them about what crafting a turn-based survival horror game looks like and the resurgence of survival horror at large www.rpgsite.net/interview/19...
Found here that they're taking a truly thoughtful approach to how you translate things between significantly different genres - and truly think it's fascinating how you keep things "scary" in a turn-based setting.

Seems good
I got this out of nowhere today too.
RT if $3000 would literally change your life
We can only get one Tales game every six years - but ten Sword Art game in the same time
Good luck with that
So, uh, this is why I'll be at PAX East.
I'm giving the keynote!!
Did the 9 games things. (my9games.com) Really focused in on what I think influenced me the most.
A lot of shit sucks rn but yβknow what doesnβt? Esoteric Ebb. I tried to give it its flowers www.gamespot.com/reviews/esot...
Ethan Winters is the guy who says "this is the worst part" before he pulls out the pizza from the oven bare handed
Okay I'm adding it this weekend, and wouldn't you know the fates aligned to let me write about Assassin's Creed Unity
A comic drawn digitally with two panels. First panel has one black cat on the left asking a white cat on the right "so what do you do for a living?" Second panel the white cat answered with a silly face "My best?"
don't we all

Ratcheteer! A lovely little Zelda-like
Dug my copy of Unity out and I forgot the disc is literally just a guillotine
Every time I review a 5 hour game I tell myself I should do more of this - and then I go right back to playing 100-hour RPGs.
Hi!
Me again.
I've played Mouse: M.I. For Hire and it is far cooler than I anticipated it to be.
It plays like DOOM, has Troy Baker doing a tough guys Dick Tracy accent, and some of coolest use of rubberhose animation I've ever seen.
And bad guys yell Gabbagool when you fight them? Epic.
I really need to stop posting these things the minute I wake up..... sorry for the typos
I played Ratcheteer DX and wrote abou tit, an upgraded versiok of a Playdate game. And it really made me sit and think about the line between inspirstion and imitstion (in a good way - the game rocks) theindieinformer.com/2026/03/05/r...
I have come to the idea that we have to collectively, brutally, ritualistically kill Target just to show capital that we truly arenβt fucking around.
There are lots of games inspired by Zelda, there arenβt as many hyper specifically inspired by Linkβs Awakening. And itβs cool to see something take that formula and really try to mold it into something new

Be careful who you make fun of as a kid
it even has the same disney world structure where you hang out with leonardo davinci for a bit and then you get 5 minutes of the actual main plot progressing
I know exact what youβre talking about. And YEP.
Likeβ¦. Out of 100?
You'll never think of it the same again
