Band members are desperately competing for audience members with flyers and Instagram posts and last-minute text reminders to mom. Which show will win? Will it be the gig at Blue Portland Maine (650 Congress St.) co-headlined by Night Hawk, the Brunswick-born septet now based in D.C., and Brooklyn's Whiskey Ginger, with salsacore faves El Malo opening at 8 p.m.? Tix: $15 (18+). Or will it be the bill at the Apohadion Theater (107 Hanover St.) topped by power-punks Gum Parker, with Normal Sixes, Lolabelle and Robert Samantha at 8 p.m.?
