It is vital for socialists to join others -- anti-war movements, unions, organizations against militarism, community & faith-based groups. We must stand with the overwhelming majority in both countries & the region to say to Trump #NoToWar & #HandsOffVenezuela!
We call for an end to these threats to Latin America from the Trump Administration, an end to the embargoes & illegal sanctions against countries like Venezuela & Cuba, a normalization of ties, respect for democracy & sovereignty, and an end of militaristic bullying from the US.
The US is flooding the media with pro-war disinformation, violating sovereignty, murdering, pirating, increasing regional instability & the refugee crisis. These attacks are a reassertion of the imperialist & racist Monroe Doctrine of domination through military force.
