It's really hard for me not to read this as "We're not going to do the bit that takes hard thinking and gives long-term results, we're just going to do the exciting manly whooshy-bangy part."

I don't know but I can say that British bases are geographically quite useful to the US and absolutely no use at all to the Israeli air force, so probably not.
I'll look forward to that :)
Sorry to hear about half of that.
Best of luck
It was surprising to me how much that last mattered to me, but he does seem to be! :)
Why yes, it might be argued that I have too many projects on the go, but why fight my core identity? That way just lies sadness.
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this bullshit any more.
As you say.
A map of the South China Sea sits on a floor along with a scattering of unit cards defining ships, aircraft and missiles for a prototype wargame.
It's prototyping time! :)
I'm pretty sure that would be perfidy.
A Facebook post is basically the same thing as a newsletter, right?
.....I actually probably *should* make a mailing list or something. I'm going to need a way for people to express interest in playing, and whatnot.
It's time to start on 2026's Glorious Stupid Project: Starship At Home.
I do love an evening of rotary-wing logistics.
Turns out the Bo-105 is a lovely agile platform for (relatively light) sling loading.
#ARMA3 Jon's experiments on me continue by way of Wildcats and Merlins. And then tonight's ride, the UH-60M Blackhawk.
(Which actually was a pretty nice flying experience - even sling loading over trees...)
Steam library screenshot of ARMA3 showing 2,330 hours of play time.
It turns out there's only one game I've put over 500 hours into, although a few are close.
Peacehammer 40K: Paintinge litel miniatures of gardeneres, sculptors, academics. Detailed scale dioramas of museums, kiosks, cafรฉs. Trimminge hedges. Makinge friendes. Yn the cozye glowe of the far future ther ys onlye WARMTH.
Well, that's a phrase I didn't realise I was hoping never to hear.
Southwest UK, English, fire engine.
There's a really good New Zealander documentary about it called What We Do In The Shadows.
The sequenced Hellfire shots were a delight.
And Gary Delaney
That was the best named clock ever.
You're not wrong.
Not at all - it's just sunk in shallower water than usual.
Perfectly typical behaviour for a bulker!
Are you in fact watching Game of Thrones?
Hi. I'm a nerd ๐
This is probably the lowest percentage joke ever but it's my favourite.
An image macro of an Uruk Hai with the text "Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!"
So the old joke is how did the Uruk Hai even know what a menu is? Do they have restaurants in Mordor?
But of course they know because of Moria, where they'll have experienced the Khazad-ai Menu...
You know the one about the restaurants in Moria?
