Enough footballers were killed by the Iranian Islamist regime in the space of forty-eight hours in January to make up two full teams. Fifa’s response? Silence.

Publication day! My new book, "The Mbappé Project", is officially out today. It is not a biography, but an attempt to understand and explain how a football prodigy was built into a global star by his entourage and by himself, retaining control every step of the way.

There is something very ugly about saying lower earners - for example the people who care for our families - are contributing less than high earners.
Your regular reminder than a large majority of voters - and overwhelming majority of Labour voters - favour giving settled migrants access to the welfare state after five years or less. The Home Secretary is not reforming rules in line with public opinion. She is doing the opposite.
Something extremely chilling about how Hegseth revels in the deaths of a 150+ sailors in international waters
Quite the re-definition of ‘pre-emptive strike’
Manchester United fans unveiled a pro-immigration banner during Sunday’s fixture against Crystal Palace in response to comments from minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Norway: “The attack is described by Israel as a preventive strike, but it is not in line with international law,” Foreign Minister Espen Barth said. “Preventive attacks require an immediately imminent threat.”

The number of children detained by ICE has increased six-fold under President Trump.
On some days there have been more than 400 kids locked up.
Over 1,300 have been held for over the Court-prescribed limit of 20 days.

ENDLESS SCREAM
Prestianni’s defence seems to be to claim he used a homophobic slur rather than a racist one.
Benfica claim to oppose racism while posting videos to discredit Real players’ claims before investigation.
All after Mourinho’s victim blaming.
Shameless stuff.

I’m confused how they have a giant game of Connect 4 with winning diagonals for both red and yellow. It’s almost like they haven’t played for real.

As we await an investigation, one thing shouldn't be confused
Vinicius has never previously "brought on" racist abuse himself
What sort of person is "provoked" into racist abuse by a footballer celebrating/whatever (the player's actions are irrelevant)

Incredibly powerful front page from the Sunday Post

Not too sure who would want to buy a Tshirt commemorating the 1936 Nazi Olympics. Perhaps they recognise a growing market?

In 2020, Jim Ratcliffe moved his fortune to Monaco, saving himself an estimated £4 billion in tax.
In the same year, immigrants in the UK contributed around £20 billion in tax.
That says it all.
A very good evening to whoever organised this billboard outside of Old Trafford.

That's not to deny the dilemmas. If a Russian athlete - from the aggressor country - had a similar helmet, there would be criticism.
But the rules aren't working. Any limitation must be proportionate, necessary & the least restrictive possible. Athletes should not be punished for promoting rights.
Some of the most powerful sporting moments in history were punished at the time, but celebrated later. Think of the Black Power salute at the 1968 Olympics.
They were suspended and made to vacate the Olympic village, for a "violent breach of the fundamental principles of the Olympic spirit".
In 2024, Manizha Talash was disqualified for unveiling a 'Free Afghan Women' message.
This year, Haiti was banned from having Toussaint Louverture on their kit.
Today, Vladyslav Heraskevyvh is banned for a helmet picturing fellow athletes killed by Russia.

Last year Ratcliffe threatened to walk away if he ever got the kind of hostility the Glazers get from United fans. Well, hopefully pedalling far right "great replacement" conspiracy theories is all the fuel we need to get this parasite out of our club and send him packing back to Monaco
