This decision may be the canary in the coal mine and signals a troubling willingness by MSU administration to capitulate to overreaching executive orders.
Until today, MSU aspired to provide equitable opportunities for academics from historically underrepresented groups to enrich our studentsβ experience with broader, more inclusive perspectives. That vision has now been undermined.
Our campus has long been a place where individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences come together to pursue knowledge, cultivate understanding, and build a better future. The strength of our institution comes from the diversity of our students, staff, and faculty.
