man stelle sich die Schlagzeile vor:
โIch habe Herrn Trump gesagt: So geht es nicht!โ

Wouldโt it be nice if people simply refused to go?

Hard to find myself in agreement with Trump. But given his obsession with renaming stuff, this seems like a sensible one.

btw., I did not follow that suggestion ;).
we should really make an effort to move publishing to our associations, and leave the commercial publishers behind us...
Not knowing much about Scientific Reports, I thought of it at least as a reputable subjournal. Its shocking to see what they publish and shocking that Nature and its subjournals engage in such funneling.
I received a desk rejection from Nature Human Behavior with the following suggestion:
"Although we cannot offer to publish your manuscript, we believe the Editorial Board at Scientific Reports will find it interesting and recommend you transfer there[...]"

A senior academic using mentoring as leverage to obtain sex is a contemptible abuser of power.
Would be interesting to also study the impact of Brexit on the EU-27.
My guess: also worse off

"This year's Nobel Peace Prize goes to a champion of peace. To a WOMAN..."
was a great way to introduce the prize before giving out the name!
Wow!
Congratulations, @econ.uzh.ch

Trump: Where do women keep Tylenol?
Staffer: I guess kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and associated products.

He even calls the 600b from the EU a "gift" later in the longer version of the interview (around 15:50).

That's an interesting interpretation of the "investment promises". Will be interesting what happens if he actually demands the payment of the "signing bonus".
Certainly, the "trade deals" are not done and I guess they will continue to dominate the debate for quite some time going forward...
So Trump is saying that the investment promises within the trade "deals" are "like a signing bonus in baseball", and that its "our money to invest as we like". (starting around 2:45).
Specifically mentions 550b from Japan and 650b from the EU that are his to spend.
