@btobirds.bsky.social I saw these two wheatear near me (south Gloucestershire). Looks like a male and female. I saw today that there's no record of breeding anywhere near where I am. Worth investigating?

I do skeletals, but I've never done a pterosaur skeletal before, so I'd recommend either @skyemcdavid.com or @sassypn.bsky.social !
Spinosaurus aegyptiacus
An animal difficult to do justice with an illustration.
Prenocephale bust
A Supersaurus' walk through a flooded plain is interrupted by three Allosaurus. The theropods are passing through, an adult Supersaurus is a prey that carries too many risks, but for a moment, They look at each other briefly before everyone goes their respective ways
#Paleoart
Such a bizarre but awesome animal!
Nothronychus skeletal diagram
#Nothronychus graffami. This is one of the skeletals I did a while back for the old book project of mine. Here it is for you to enjoy! #Paleoart #Paleontology
An Inostrancevia (large gorgonopsid, early mammal relative) walks by a desolate landscape with smoke coming out of the ground and a red sun in the sky.

Channeled my inner Wayne Barlowe for this one.

A fairly complete #Hypsilophodon specimen collected in 1996. Mentioned in Coram (2017)... does anyone have any more information on this specimen? #palaeontology #paleontology

#Eotyrannus lengi skeletal diagram revisited. And a (short) blopost to go along with it too:
www.thecodontia.com/blog/reotyra...
Overall, this version has a lot more influence drawn from #Yutyrannus, a close relative according to the monograph (and an animal with many close similarities with Eotyrannus - something I'll get at further in the blog). I originally made the skeletal more "generalised" for the monograph version.
Eotyrannus (nearly) complete skeletal diagram
Only a few bones left to add! I'd like to do a #Eotyrannus blog spot to showcase how I reconstructed this fellow, and how it differs from my original one.
It's pretty solidly a tyrannosauroid of sorts
Eotyrannus WIP skeletal diagram
More progress on the #Re-otyrannus #Eotyrannus skeletal "update", going smoothly in between work and other projects.
Eotyrannus colour and WIP skeletal
Having a re-look at #Eotyrannus for a big project of mine. I think I've found a way to get rid of that awful long torso that I originally reconstructed way back for the Eotyrannus monograph.
Dealing with death threats from the right while a huge part of your job is defending yourself from your own audience is real bad. Only a pretty thin slice of humanity can handle both of those things at once.
Styracosaurus, the coloration is primarily based on sable antelope.
We recommend humanoid silhouettes used for scale have realistic human proportions (i.e. avoid fictional characters with unrealistic proportions) and indicate the height of the human referenced.
Just putting this out here since people are still putting anime girls for scale on otherwise accurate skeletals.
Always had an issue with this. Like realistically what is the point of a scale figure if its some anime character that could be anywhere from 3 feet to 8 feet tall

Can anyone please create a starter pack for #Palaeontologists on this site? I would like to follow everyone!

Any dunkleosteus fans about? I made this guy last year. Literature was beginning to emerge regarding how we estimate body length, so I hedged my bets and made two versions! Subsequent literature appears to be leaning towards version 2. ๐ก
Hi everyone. Here's a reminder to register interest in #DinoCon, kicking off in the UK next year. Though with #dinosaurs front and centre, it's NOT dinosaurs alone but prehistoric life and natural history more generally too... www.dinocon.co.uk
