One of the coolest sights I saw on my recent trip to #Iceland - a meandering river along the front of a glacier. I've always been intrigued by ox-bow lakes forming and love to look out for them from aeroplanes, so was delighted to see this formation from my drone in the ice!

My photo shows a Roman fresco of a brown rabbit with long ears, curled on the ground, with a rounded, soft-looking body. Its head is lowered as if nibbling at three figs placed in front of it. The figs are small and round with short stems, painted in dark reddish and bluish tones. From Pompeii. Now on display at the National Archaeological Museum in Naples.

The African crested rat (Lophiomys imhausi) is a rabbit-sized rodent with patterned coat.

They have no natural predators which puzzled scientists because they don't display obvious deterrents to large African predators.

That's when studies found they were packing enough poison to kill an elephant.
