This was a ton of fun to do! And we still have even more to say about the game tbh ๐

Resident Evil Requiem guides from yours truly! My first is about items you gotta grab in the first major area.
I was so hyped for this one, so I'm very grateful I got to cover it :)
We're getting Citizen Sleeper-likes now?? I don't mind
Splitting the gameplay between the two was a very smart move too! That's the main reason the tonal shifts work
Also [spoiler for others' sake] being Leon's handler actually made a hit emotional
I am not reviewing Resident Evil Requiem at all, but I'll have some videos very soon!
Quick thoughts for now:
- 7 is one of my favorites in the series, and I rank it above this and Village
- I prefer Grace's sections for similar reasons
- Leon's story comes full circle in ways that I loved seeing
That's valid too. It seems every Resident Evil game ultimately winds up in an underground lab of some sort haha
In the end, even if 4 is my favorite, I wound up preferring Grace's campaign though. Although the full circle moments for Leon are also really awesome to see.
For me it's more about the tonal shifts, which are done much better here than in Village. The opening hours here and in that game are the best parts IMO.
Now 7? Now that's tense the whole way through, and it was such an important reinvention that it towers over both 8 and 9 for me.
Oh wow, thank you so much for saying that! Stay tuned over the next few weeks ;)
The *style* here ๐ฅ
Yo @brendanlh.bsky.social
Correct. And prunes
One of the biggest misconceptions is thinking the strong language thing is what it always looks like; it's more commonly a physical tick rather than verbal.

I've been doing video guides for IGN for ~2 years, and I gotta say, as someone who's been paid to cover games since 2012 (including freelance, part time, and full time), it's been one of my favorite places to work.
