@murderxbryan.bsky.social I saw this venue review for the El Paso County Coliseum and thought of you. It ranks up there with the ones you’ve shared from the Ticketmaster site.
🙃 I don’t know if I can take any more cheap thrills right now after braving Friday night El Paso traffic on I-10!
We’ve risked life & limb driving across town for an opening night showing of Pillion.
This movie has one of the bleakest endings in a horror film! I first saw it at a preview screening with the director (Frank Darabont) present, who delighted in the collective gutpunch it gave the audience.
I love your writing. I spent endless evenings at the Starlite Drive-In with Mom while Dad worked late, watching wholesome kiddie fare like Suspiria, The Devil’s Nightmare, Dr. Phibes, Cotton Cones to Harlem, you name it. Whatever I read about in Famous Monsters of Filmland was acceptable viewing!
Honestly, I went in cold & watched it last week at AMC’s Monday mystery movie. I knew it had a great rep & the bare bones of what it’d be like, and it worked like a charm for me. I’m just starting to go thru the series now myself.

Big thanks to Alonso & Dave telling listeners of their @linoleumcast.bsky.social about this terrific music documentary. It’s out NOW on DVD/blu-ray or streaming for as low as $1.99 on YT, Google Play & Prime (physical media includes a full hour of bonus content). Well worth a watch!
Wonderful writing. That Libbyland ad is such a Proustian preschool moment for me. I’m back home with my hamburger TV dinner on the tray, watching “Dusty’s Trail” at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night with nary a care in the world.
The logo font on the Libbyand box…wow.
I’ve been watching season 3 of Cannon on MeTV & can confirm that “Terror” appears in the episode titles multiple times.
Safe travels! Hope it resolves itself quickly for your journey.

No one gives cuter winks than you, Barnaby. 😍
Postcard from Frisky Dingo saying Welcome to you’re “DOOM!” with “you’re” incorrectly used in place of “your”
Gone but not forgotten.
Ooh, you beat me to it! **shakes fist** 🫡🤘
I liked the discussion you had on your Queer Horror podcast about TransAmerican Killer (a movie I’d not previously known about), which definitely falls into that category.
Looks like it got pushed forward to next week, Feb 10th, per reports this morning.
I just finished watching Griffin In Summer thanks to you alerting us that it even existed. I don’t recall hearing about it before - so glad I saw it!
Same as it ever was

I give them kudos for the use of New Order’s “The Perfect Kiss.” 🫡
I liked using “Change” to open the film, but for a TFF bookend they could’ve closed with a track like “Mothers Talk” instead of that overused chestnut (same for Alphaville’s “Forever Young” as well, grumble grumble).
FWIW, I turned off reposts and replies in my Following Feed Settings long ago. I can see them all if/when I view someone’s profile page, but I typically just want to see original comments in my main feed, not tons of shared NSFW or news/politics stuff. It just gets too redundant otherwise for me.

Mitch is adorable, no matter whether he’s a snow-grower or a snow-shower. 😍🐻🥰
Bottom left picture #4 is mustachioed perfection to me. Unbelievably hot! 🥵
I’m the same way, Sean - a running dialogue in complete sentences, as well as typically having constant song snippets playing in my mind. I can have monologues, conversations with myself, or even ones with folks that I haven’t actually had in real life. No wonder my brain is exhausted at bedtime!
Neon barely released this film in North America - I think it hit around 110 theaters max last week? I had to drive 30 miles to a small non-profit cinema in a neighboring town to watch it (well worth the effort, btw).
I know they run them in episode order as part of the free (ad-supported) streaming Universal Action channel, which you can find on many services such as the Roku Channel, Pluto TV, etc.
