Some excellent practical advice here - only thing I'd add is this affects tickets *purchased* from 1st April. Buy this month for travel in April/May and the refund rules are as per now.

Honestly? Avanti/EMR sets aside my only real gripe is the seat longevity/comfort. They werenβt built to last and are looking threadbare particularly in Standard, at next refurb GBR need to rip βem out and put new ones in.
Agree if that's the end destination (it has no appeal to me). I do feel sorry for those trying to get between UK/Europe and Australia/NZ though as their options are suddenly much more limited. Singapore entirely booked up until at least Tuesday, similarly Cathay/KL.
Cheers! I did enjoy the (unplanned? My perhaps naive assumption was the morning Amsterdam-London took the diversion on a more regular basis for route retention) tour of the western Brussels suburbs :-)
(Appreciate none of this is the station/train crew's fault! They've been excellent so far as per usual)
@eurostarjustin.bsky.social Hello! What's the best way of submitting feedback to Eurostar? It would have been useful to have been told about the possibility of a reversal at Brussels in advance of the journey (I have a tight connection that I'm now likely to miss - I chose Coach 1 specifically :-( )
Enjoy! It's a really nice ride and Helsingborg on the Swedish side is worth a wander too.
Sorry he was waiting for me to finish my lunch.
I am also having this realisation! I bought two - need at least one more (and probably two)
Morning! What a sunrise to wake up toβ¦. Itβs like another worldβ¦..
Some gorgeous sunset views as we depart Copenhagen this eveningβ¦. Next stop Oslo!
Looks like my crossed fingers weren't enough? :-( Hope it doesn't mess up your plans too much. Also, this is how to handle compensation for cancelled overnight services! (I'd have been able to claim my flight....)
Fingers crossed! Youβll be the first train through all day if so I think pretty much, DB seems to have just given up running today.
Itβs all good quality too - the metal bottle particularly, some branded ones can be rubbish for keeping drinks cold!
Unfortunately due to a sleeper cancellation along with the continued suspension of Hamburg-Copenhagen, both due to the weather in Northern Germany, my no-fly Oslo trip is now involving a train with wings, off to Copenhagen where the adventure resumesβ¦.
Very welcome! π
Hbf!
@seatsixtyone.bsky.social Ah so thatβs what theyβve been doing with the Vienna lounge! Theyβve opened up the back into a really nice overflow space. Main lounge area looks to have had minimal changes (but have some up to date photos of this too if youβd like them)
Wordfence - particularly important to trust your security plugins and between breach notifications, bounty programs and personal experience of their responsible disclosure practices, theyβve really built a trusting relationship such that I wouldnβt usually consider any alternative.
Geez, that's going to go down like a ton of bricks hopefully. It's not even two links per post, its two per month, period?!
Not least vecause some of the providers that are running these checks are, as far as I can tell, processing data outwith the EU and thus outside the scope of GDPR safeguards...
www.b-europe.com/EN/Booking/P... - even with SNCB I struggle to find through tickets, at least not on the SNCB/ES sites. Also, my own experiences with connections assistance has not been good (see my follow up reply - I did ultimately catch the train up but ES were happy to not offer any assistance)
(OBB is on my mind from the ski trains last year where I was flat out refused a change/refund from ES after an OBB train was delayed missing the connection - appreciate thatβs not currently relevant!)
(Apologies for replying to an all-German thread in English!)
It makes no sense and is a major flaw with ES too who seem to see themselves as in isolation as much as they can get away with. They could do so much more with eg onward travel on NS/OBB, connections info etc. but they live in a bubble.
Price list for NS popup shop
Selfie with NS mascot
NS water bottle and laptop case
NS Christmas decorations
Have to say @ns.nl / @nsinternational.com knock it out of the park with branded merchandise! Their Rotterdam popup today was busy and theyβve got some great accessibly priced itemsβ¦. Itβs something Iβd really like to see GBR/the NRM make more of with reasonably priced double arrow merch back home.
Thatβsβ¦.not terrible. You see, unlike the actual train design that is simple, stylish and gets the message across. Bin off the train design and get the agency for the digital comms to redo that too, with budget for time to look at what other iconic liveries look like.
One word - France. Whilst on paper they have to accommodate them, SNCF are actively hostile to making open access work across its infrastructure essentially.
BREAKING: European Sleeper to launch Brussels/Amsterdam-Bern-Brig-Milan sleeper train from June 2026 (after launching Paris-Berlin in March).

Tacit admission that Spain is too difficult right now I wonder?
Good ol' Deputy Speaker! (Am aware they *have* to vote that way rather than having any real free choice, but still good news.... well at this stage, if it was any sort of meaningful final Commons vote they'd have had to vote with the status quo!)
