When someone says β€žScientists do not want you to knowβ€œ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.

Some of yall are getting a little too comfortable with your antisemitism that yall are trying to cloak around being anti-impearlist.

After sexual violence, it's victims who get punished the most. Victims who lose their jobs and have to leave their industries. Victims who lose their friends and support systems. Victims who lose their health and sanity. Perpetrators might lie low, sometimes, before being handed it all back.

27.02.2026 20:12 πŸ‘ 2307 πŸ” 547 πŸ’¬ 25 πŸ“Œ 25

It's perpetrators who people worry about losing everything, even as victims lose everything. People think perpetrators deserve a pathway to redemptionβ€”what about victims? What about their lost opportunities? What about their reputations?

And another thing: When examining the harsh reality of what happens to victims and perpetrators of sexual violence, it becomes clear how sexual violence is a tool of the patriarchy. It is a political weapon. It is a way to keep women out of "men's spaces." It is retaliation and punishment.

This was one of Labour's safest seats.

If the Greens can replace Labour here, then the Greens can replace Labour everywhere.

It's worse for Labour than it looks.

Green canvassers yesterday reported voters - Muslim and non-Muslim - still voting Labour for fear of Reform.

This was a moment of total humiliation for Matt Goodwin.

A liberal academic turned hard right charlatan, the people of Manchester took a look at the politics of hatred he peddled - and told him to do one.

To the dustbin of history for you, Matt.

The Greens ran one of the most astonishing grassroots campaigns in history.

Thousands of activists from Gorton and Denton and beyond brought a message of hope.

Yesterday's canvass for the Greens may well have been the biggest in the history of this country.

If it wasn't for the tsunami of support that the Greens had, the Labour strategy of lies could have handed Reform the seat.

But Labour MPs kept briefing that they'd prefer Reform to win rather than the Greens.

That's what we're dealing with here.

The Labour party didn't just lie.

They ran a disgusting gutter campaign.

The sort of campaign you'd expect from far right hatemongers.

What they did in Gorton and Denton must never be forgotten. They must never get away with it.

The Starmer project was based on crushing the left into the dust.

That's all it had.

They could never have predicted that this strategy could end up risking the destruction of Labour as a political force.

27.02.2026 08:26 πŸ‘ 332 πŸ” 40 πŸ’¬ 9 πŸ“Œ 2

The Starmer project never understood that millions of people want an alternative to a broken economic system and a foreign policy based on mass murder.

If you believed in that, the Starmer project told you to fuck off.

Well, we have fucked off. How do you like them apples

I think it boils down to the fact that they refuse to believe the Culture isn't a top down thing pushed by those in power. They have never been able to accept that people like or live in the ways they find abhorrent & so created a reason that means all you need is power

27.02.2026 16:00 πŸ‘ 57 πŸ” 9 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 2

i think it’s beautiful that in this country, once you are no longer culturally relevant, you can just pivot to grifting conservatives

There’s a reason they spend so much time saying that AI is β€œinevitable.” They know it’s not. They live in fear of an understanding of the emperor’s nakedness.

It’s amazing to see Gavin Newsom, Rahm Emanuel, etc running the same playbook that has Labour in shambles here and people refuse to see how it’ll play out just the same.

And two, in general, people in the center prefer preserving the status quo in which they are comfortable to making significant social changes like rights expansions. Any push toward major change upsets their comfortable sofa, and so they see all threats to that as equivalent.

27.02.2026 00:41 πŸ‘ 89 πŸ” 11 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Why? I can’t presume someone else’s heart and mind, but I have two theories. One, this argument is coming from people who used to be cautious but aren’t anymore and feel guilty and defensive about it. So making the people who haven’t quit seem nuts and extreme quells that feeling.

27.02.2026 00:39 πŸ‘ 101 πŸ” 10 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

And I don’t think most of these people are obtuse enough to be genuinely confusing β€œTHE VACCINES ARE EVIL” with β€œthe vaccines are a good tool, but not sufficient to protect against Covid infections on their own. Layered mitigation is key.”

So I believe it is an intentional conflation.

27.02.2026 00:34 πŸ‘ 110 πŸ” 16 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 1

I don’t think I have ever seen a remotely popular Covid activist say people should not get vaccinated, and i follow tons of them.

What I have seen is constant posts from the center saying this is happening, with no evidence and no follow up to the logical problem the claim presents.

27.02.2026 00:33 πŸ‘ 122 πŸ” 18 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

One of the misinformation talking points from centrists on Covid is that Covid activists and anti-vaxxers are the same.

I want you to think of any other rights movement where the centrist position has been β€œugh, these people on the far ends are both so noisy, they’re the same.”

Is it all of them?

Imagine devoting your entire career to selling the idea that the British public hates wokery and is clamouring for radical right wing populism, only to then be defeated in an actual election by the most left wing possible coalition of politicians and activists in the country.

It's got to hurt
