This is such a weird episode -- it is largely a commentary on how messed up their procedures and rules are for handling the huge increase of cases they have to deal with.

Another reminder that billionaires are not billionaires because they are smart.

They are rich because they are broken in a way that allows them to completely ignore morality in order to gather more wealth in a doomed attempt to fill the unfillable hole inside them.

I don't know why but I just love watching and listening to every dang bit of minutiae in the rescues on this show. Just competent people discussing how best to treat their patients.

Now the Squad 51 paramedics are transporting a lady to the hospital and not available for an emergency where a person was seriously injured in a traffic accident. Oooh the paramedics are actually branching off from the ambulance to reply to the traffic accidnet.

I am getting *very* close to getting this thing working! There were some optical bits missing, which, miraculously I was able to purchase, and I just won my fight with a very seized up fan motor.

Why I love Emergency? The paramedics just had a long discussion with Doctor Brackett about how flawed their alert system is and how they aren't getting to their cases fast enough.

So weird in this day and age watching the paramedics calling the hospital on the patient's home phone to describe symptoms.

#EmergencyTV time! Episode opened unusually, with the paramedics getting on the road and checking the maps to make sure they're going the right direction while on the way. (This was the 70s.)
