I am currently in Mallorca and itβs great to be back in one of my favourite places β€οΈ
Cambridge Half pics (this was last Sunday!). Still chuffed with my time (2 hours 5mins), if I really put my back into it maybe I can get a sub-2 next time?
Stansted again
If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.
One of seven people having a lie down atop a giant sand dune by the ocean
Iβve eaten three (3) of these delightful pasteis (and two coffees, and a double helping of savoury baked goods at Pasteis de Belem. I REGRET NOTHING. Incredibly good value for money too!!!
Welcome to the Labour Party Donald
Scoffed a pasteis de nata and did an 8 mile run in Lisbon this afternoon, OUTRAGEOUSLY BEAUTIFUL
If you add Sting's bank balance to mine, I'm not skint any more.
I used to be a alt/indie music snob but Iβm glad Iβve grown out of that, life is literally too short and boring for that nonsense
Iβm on a Charli xcx kick π
This post is the single best advert for the fact that proper local journalism matters.
If Jimβs team hadnβt put the pieces together quickly, this wouldnβt have been stopped.
Noooooo!!!! Has your doc or physio recommended using a compression sleeve for it?
Mad that itβs one billionaire scumbag whoβs behind these massive-scale evictions in London AND the mass closure of London pubs AND beloved institution the Prince Charles Cinema being in dire straits AND the high street being clogged with cruddy candy shops. A one-man enshittification engine.
Iβve never ever been in a training block for cycling (perhaps this is why I sometimes struggle with the longer audax distances and died multiple times on PBP π)
5K done today, 10miles-ish tomorrow. Training for half marathons is no joke (and Iβll have to keep myself in a training block until mid May! β οΈ)
This should be all over North Norfolk Digital
Agog at the price of the jackets in this reviewβ¦! A lot of them are mountaineering orientated but stillβ¦
(I managed to buy a hiking-specific Shakedry in pristine condition for 72 quid last month!!! Iβm up to 2 Shakedrys now πΊ).

Is this a real shirt you can buy on Temu? Itβs quite amazing π€£
Ach, Iβm sorry for your loss! πβ€οΈ
Some pics from Saturdayβs half marathon. I think Iβm ready to go for a run tomorrow morning after letting my legs recover from that experience for a few days π€ͺβ οΈ
My target pace of 2 hours for the half is looking pretty unlikely tbh. Whose idea was it to do a half in the UK in early March π©
Gonna attempt a half marathon tomorrow (the real thing is in 3 weeksβ time π₯Ά) fuelled mostly by gels (perhaps a pastry break as well if Iβm really suffering).
Iβm thinking that the chances of shitting myself are quite high π₯Ά
I sort of hate how dependent we are on Wetherspoons with the sport that we do (long distance cycling, where getting your hands on food and drink FASTTTTT is sort of critical)

A quiet night ride under a full moon. π
Two cyclists on an empty road, watched by an owl in the trees.
This is Night Ride β an original hand-printed linocut inspired by night cycling and rural landscapes.
Is this your type of ride?
Bonjour

Iβve been v impressed with mine - Iβve been using them since last June/July. Really supple, easy to install/remove! I have 32mms (I bought a spare set as well, they are that good)
