Hey, another raycaster! Looks awesome.
In other words, I'm not trying to directly emulate classic RPGs/dungeon crawlers, but rather thinking to myself: "what if we had a game with the retro RPG look but with modern game design sensibilities?"
I'm about 500 away from the limit but have a few changes in mind to save more.
The game's story will hopefully be more nuanced. It's heavily inspired by classic RPGs/dungeon crawlers, but I'm going for something that will also have a little more depth than those old games did :)
