I'm house sitting for my friends who are on vacation. It's quieter here than at home, perfect for a one-on-one with my novel's manuscript. Maybe a little too quiet...

It can be tricky, and your sensitivity readers can help with that. It's helpful to get that outside perspective.

I try to frame it so the narrative/character acknowledges that it is unpleasant, which the reader can relate to, instead of glorifying or normalizing the unpleasantness. It depends on context, though.

I braved the snow and ice to work on my WIP in a coffee shop with a golden latte and spinach puff while the fluffy flakes powder the town. Because viiiibes.
