Never saw this one- might I ask was it any good, or did it squander the original ?

Love this film- also serves as a snapshot of my youth.
Great film- and great 70's newscaster hair.
I'd agree that in each case, the falling off is not so drastic as to ruin the franchises but, Final Destination 4 does come close.
Oh, I unironically love this film- Charles Grodin is great
I can say I was, perhaps, not as solid on it as you, but it was (to me) in no way the worst of the franchise.
It must be transiting the zeitgeist at the moment. I've had several conversations about this film over the past few days. It's a solid one, the bee sealing them in the honeycomb was always nightmare fuel for me.
and Carpenter made a great film as well. Sometimes it clicks. Actually, there was a nice run if we take this, Cujo, Dead Zone, Creepshow....( we can pretend Firestarter never happened )
No, stay that way..... I have this thing that if I see a film get totally bipolar reviews, half praise, half scorn... I'll be there on the first day... clear sign something interesting is going on there.
If I remember correctly, the film was in production before the novel was even released. I'd have to double check that but it rings a bell.
Indeed the title is clearly made to be exploitative, as for being grim at 14- indeed it was, but I kind of asked for that, I would seek out films like this.
Does he ever not look moist ?
I'd forgotten about C.H.O.M.P.S.-
Wow- unexpected..
There is a better movie struggling to emerge from Supernova. I bet with a bit more work on the script side, it could have come out.
I believe I know this one as Raw Meat ? It was actually a bit disturbing to me when I first saw, I was like 14 but still.
She was "driven" to it I tell you.....
Can't underestimate how much the window scene freaked out my childhood
SORRY WRONG NUMBER (1948) Dir. Anatole Litvak
Few films build suspense this effectively. Barbara Stanwyck anchors the story while each clue drives the next turn forward. By the time the ending arrives the pressure is almost too much to bear. Even when you know it the impact remains strong.๐๏ธ๐ฝ๏ธ๐ฌ
It sort of ended the idea that if you let an idiosyncratic producer run wild you may strike gold- it began the 80's studio film ((which begat the Netflix algorithm film) Which allows for very little creativity or risk taking.
Wow- never heard of this one. Best part of my day here on BlueSky to find cinema I don't know and..... add it to the list.
By 79 the well had run dry but it taught me important things-Like- You can open the window on the Concorde to fire a flair gun. You can literally face peril and crash the plane and people will get back on for a second leg and it doesn't matter how cheap your model work looks- people will still watch
Some nice Harryhausen work...
What do you think ?
Ummmmm, wellllllllllll
It's a dandy-
My god, all the more reason for me to move there.
it creeps
And leaps and glides and slides
Across the floor
Right through the door
And all around the wall
A splotch, a blotch
Be careful of the......?????
Beware of the.......????
Looks like Godzilla brought two dates the the High School dance.
