Congrats! Great news.
Congrats! Great news.
Yes! Does not require any programming knowledge. A little bit of Python helps but not necessary for lessons 2 and 3.
Yes! or at least thats the plan.
Despite the circumstances, itβs been heartening to see the support for Unidata today.
WHEN Unidata gets its $, this will be critical to help chart a course and ensure the program does the most to continue to serve the community with what it has. If youβd like to help, taking the survey really will.
Without Unidata, the company I co-founded, Weather Underground, would never have come to be.

Super fun project that is wrapping up this July. Get in touch if you want to re-vamp your fall courses.
I talked to Nature about the latest development at NSF, which is a five-alarm fire for American science. The scale of immediate impact is massive. We narrowly escaped this affecting @viralemergence.org for now, but will have to shut down in a few months if this stays.

Please enjoy my last ever post at Climate.gov/ENSO Blog. This afternoon I was fired by the Trump Administration 15 days before my 2yr probationary period ended on March 13.
I have worked at NOAA since 2010, and I'm so incredibly proud of the work I did. If anyone wants a quote, let me know.
I would be surprised if we ever hit 1,000 rigs a day again.
Does that help with your day rates? Or are the rigs that are working right now are all high end ones so that part of the market is still tight?
They used to make GDAL wheels, etc. as a service.
I am just saying they would be more than happy to take a check to work on those tools. I donβt think they work on them now in a big way, but open source support is something they do (for money).
Kitware
Hoping for the best. Ugh.
I need to dig into that more. Colab has its own brand of interactive widgets that I could not get sorted on first pass.
Will have some more time next week.
If your waiting for the Google Colab version of Segment Every Grain, would love some more comments / testers. Seems to work fine with a T4 instance. Can't thank @zzsylvester.bsky.social enough!
