Close to one year in my role as ED of The Do More Agriculture Foundation here is Canada. What I know is this: how we tell a story matters. And I bring storytelling to every community where I get to facilitate our signature workshop Talk Ask Listen.

So proud. I was in Ottawa to accept the CAMIMH 2025 Champion award for community organization on behalf of The Do More Agriculture Foundation. I should have recorded my speech so I can remember what I said!
Scenes from a farm weekend. #MassiePanoramicFarm
My hops and grape are vying for garden domination. Who do you think will win?
Thatβsβ¦ canolaβ¦ growing in my tomato bed. π€£ππ
Leading the screening of Deep Rooted, a new documentary that examines the crisis of mental health that faces Canadian farmers. Tonight @broadwaytheatre in Saskatoon on behalf of The Do More Agriculture Foundation.
Aurora borealis bookmarks. So much fun.
Iβm thoroughly enjoying learning (slowly, painfully) how to use watercolours. Iβve been making bookmarks and I use them as gifts. Itβs a satisfying way to practice creativity. Itβs the process, not the outcome.
Our farm is a working farm. Itβs also a space for peace and personal projects. This is my latest: merlemassie.wordpress.com/2025/06/18/t...
A reminder that one of the largest and most destructive fire seasons in western Canadian history was the Great Fire of 1919. Which was in May. foresthistory.org/wp-content/u...
A wooden box with a roof and a glass door fixed to a tree. It holds a rotary dial telephone to be used as a telephone of the wind.
A woman dressed in farm work clothes standing next to a wooden box affixed to a tree. The box holds a rotary dial telephone of the wind.
Paper with handwriting that explains the wind phone. Telephone of the Wind. This telephone is connected to nowhere and everywhere all at once. Use it to call someone who holds a piece of your heart. Make the call that you wish you could have made. A telephone in the wind takes your voice exactly where you need it to go. No distance and no time is beyond the reach of the wind. Talk to the past, the present, and the future.
My latest #MassiePanoramicFarm project: a #WindPhone . Wind phones are ways to make the phone call you need to make, with someone who has passed, a call you wish you had made, or even a call to the future. #TelephoneOfTheWind
Site of my next farm project. Canβt wait.
A stone labyrinth on a farm in west central Saskatchewan. Six people can be seen walking the labyrinth, with two quads, some snow, and a slough in the background.
On Good Friday, extended family was out enjoying the farm, including walking my labyrinth. I love sharing it with friends and family.
Me. Rapids of Eagle Creek. What a great day. β€οΈ

I love that my labyrinth is ready for walking! β€οΈ
This is my farm labyrinth that I finished this past fall. As captured by Google Maps. So cool! #MassiePanoramicFarm
I gave a presentation on mental health and how we can each βdo moreβ at the recent SaskEgg convention. This week a man in that audience reached out to tell me that Iβd touched his heart. We had a lovely chat. β€οΈ
The magical world of the Mayan underground. Cenotes everywhere.
I hear itβs storming at homeβ¦
View out the windshield at a single lane of highway covered in snow.
A freak spring storm moved through north of Saskatoon today. 0/10 do not recommend trying to find the road. So many were in the ditch. We were coming back from a funeral in Prince Albert and it was a total shock. #springstorm
Cinder needs love. She had emergency surgery yesterday to remove two cancerous growths from her ear. She is not barking right now because it hurts. Love is requested.
I love my tagine. Super easy supper. Toss and go, always tasty.

An early morning flight means my sleep just before includes a dream where Iβm trying frantically to get to the airport, and miss the plane.
I can report success despite the dreamworldβs attempts to scuttle. #traveldreams #flying
βProfessorβ is a stretch Janice! I guess I am an adjunct (unpaid) professor at USask, though my full time job is off campus!
Ryan, thatβs very flattering. Thank you. In fact, they contacted me around 1pm so you get what you get at warp speed! π€£
