This might be a very early call, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Old Skies from @wadjeteyegames.bsky.social will probably be the best game I play in 2026. Outstanding.

My daughter went to see #Gladiators live in Manchester today. She had made a homemade sign for her favourite Gladiator #Sabre.

She was soooooo thrilled when Sabre spotted her sign, made a heart sign and waved at her. It absolutely made her evening and was possibly the greatest moment of her life!

Retro Racing 2 by @mrqwak.bsky.social is one of the best, most addictive titles of its kind. Simple? Yes, but huge fun & massively addictive. The fact it's now on Steam & playable with a controller just makes it even better.

Far better from England #RugbyLeague this week. Now they just need to remember there is a second half - that's where it all went wrong last week.

The gulf in ability between England and Australia #RugbyLeague is probably best illustrated by the fact that England's best players so far (by some distance) have been Herbie Farnworth and Dom Young - both of whom play in the NRL.

Almost other things, last night's last gasp try shows how much #RugbyLeague misses #EddieHemmings. The end of the game was just as incredible as the #WidetoWest match, but the commentary was nowhere near as memorable.

Credit to #StHelens for never giving up and giving the fans a new Wide to West moment. But let's be honest, it is just papering over the cracks. Leeds were the better side overall and we did not deserve to win. #RugbyLeague.

Another match that pretty much sums up #StHelens season. Lots of possession, can't score, then poor discipline and sloppy mistakes cost them dearly.

Been addicted to the Arkham games recently. I've been playing them in release date order which makes it really interesting to see how the series evolved (from both a gameplay and plot perspective).

Last season a player so much as sneezed near an opponent and it was a red card.

This season, they don't get sent off even if they bring a howitzer on the field.

I remember this being talked about in our school playground for months before I finally got to play it. Maybe because it had been so hyped (or perhaps because of the issues you've highlighted) I was really disappointed with it.
