Castlevania: Belmont’s Revenge! - I have been working on this figure for a year. New parts: head, tunic, loincloth, & shoulder pauldron, chain whip, dagger, & cross boomerang (mix of real & digital sculpt). Figure is colored to match the original Nintendo game’s character sprite.

I am never working on only one thing. Wasn’t happy w Glyos pegs, so I started designing my own, more for the scale of figures I’m doing. Took a few iterations to get the sizing right but this one seems good.
There’s a nice “pop” when snapping them together!

Every day I get little more done on this Castlevania figure (these will be molded soon). While it’s based on a vintage He-Man figure, all the new parts are sculpted by myself. Excited to get this one done!

Updates on today’s work. Resin printed part fits just right (shoulder armor pauldron), making a 2x mold for another part of his outfit (tunic loincloth)

New test prints for the 2-part tunic loincloth and new dagger. This Belmont figure started as a piece for the #1UP IG art show but I didn’t make the deadline, so I’m putting more work into the final piece.

Hello sky friends! I keep chipping away on this piece, having redesigned this chain whip for easier molding. It’s now 3 pieces, handle, chain, spiked ball. A fellow artist (flashpointcustoms) recommended this terrific resin from Resione. First use and it’s great for print prototyping! #resin

So I installed Flashes (Bluesky’s IG alternative), then turned off “adult” content filtering cuz I’m not a child.
Then I searched “toys” to find other figure collectors and makers.
WELL, I learned there is a LOT of xxx material on Flashes. Searching “action figures” was the better attempt. 😅

Hear about your IG getting iced, that’s some absolute bullshittery. But at least you’re already set up here!

It’s an excellent analysis, and adds so many more layers to an already excellent film. Def check it out if you can, only 20 mins long and absolutely worth it if you love this movie!

Here’s a pic of my wax sculpt of Castlevania’s Simon Belmont 3D scanned earlier today. Now I can tweak it in Blender then 3D print it, or just have a nice backup copy of my sculpt in case it gets damaged.
