What I have been doing is when they break something/lose something (like chargers for their devices), I make them watch as I transfer money from their allowance bank accounts to repurchase things, so they understand haha

Hey John - I think an awesome video you guys could do would be the recently released PlayStation Cloud gaming on PS Portal comparison to XBOX Cloud gaming. Since XBOX is available on so much more hardware, could have Logitech GCloud, XBOX Ally and XBOX Ally X as different price points comparison.
Honestly, took some tinkering - but 1-2 weeks later, this might be my favorite gaming purchase in 30 years. Literally able to play anything/everything and once configured, the UI flow is perfect. Great performance and the best ergonomics in any device on the market. Amazing.
Now struggling with letting them play the normal Battle Royale mode too 😆. Gonna see how it goes, my eldest already plays the Rivals game in Roblox so I am going to soft approve this for now.
Congrats man - you got 2 new people to join in this house! Woke up to two parental request emails to download Fortnite from their Switch's. Woke up and asked them why, both said they wanted to play the Simpsons world in the Lego game in it.
They went Roblox/Minecraft now to having Fortnite too.

Something is wrong because it became even less reliable on the previous Ally X too since the Armory Crate Update and Command Center overlay (on windows versions not even running XBOX FSE). It should seamlessly switch from Desktop to Gamepad mode with Auto settings and did previously.
I don't understand how Asus (this is more of an Asus thing than Microsoft) has broken the "Auto" Control Mode since the previous Ally X with these updates. It is the cause of most of the issues people are experiencing with controls "not working" when it just is stuck in gamepad mode vs desktop mode.
😆😂😂 let me just install Bazzite on it so you can have the best of both worlds, Dan.

I was just talking to the Xbox hardware VP on Friday about how direct power state management would have made the original Ally X perfect. Hilarious as I was talking to him, they were already going to reveal this today. This looks perfect.

If anyone wants to know how to dual boot Windows and Bazzite btw, it is a lot simpler than it sounds. I used this video guide. With the new updates, system boots into SteamOS but when you want to boot into windows, you just select boot into windows with one button.

Also, ROG Ally X has double and sometimes triple the battery life in games then ROG Ally so that solves that problem.
What I have done with ROG Ally X:
1. Purchased the 2TB version
2. Partitioned the HDD into two 1TB each
3. Windows on one partition and Bazzite (SteamOS) on the other
Windows has Gamepass games I want to play installed plus Fortnite, Halo Infinite, COD: Warzone - Bazzite for everything else.

Greg just curious, was there a reason you chose this vs using the Ally X? I just bought one last week and am loving it, but wondering if you felt it was lacking vs playing this way on a plane.
