So amazing to co-organize IN Sci Comm Day again for early career researchers in Indiana. It is so important to communicate about our research and how science and science-driven policies can impact our communities.

This event was held in collaboration with the Science Policy Initiative at Notre Dame and the IU Science Communication and Outreach Club (SCOC), with funding provided by Notre Dame’s Colleges of Science and Engineering.

The event resulted in increased dialogue between early career researchers and policymakers in Indiana. It was so wonderful to be able to bring early career researchers to the policy making space, to see how policies are made, and to advocate for science and research.

On February 25th, 20 graduate students from across Indiana attended the 7th Annual Indiana Science Communication Day at the Indiana Statehouse. Attendees presented posters or short talks, and attended a public session.
